Welcome to Ojai, California. With a population of just 8,000, this rural town seems to be the perfect getaway for any exasperated student or businessman. The funny thing is that it's anything but. If you take the time to get to know the town and you'll find out pretty quickly how influenced it is by the equestrian sports. Though littered with various prestigious stables, the capital of this competitive town lies on 6,208 acres in the outskirts.
Welcome to Bite the Bit Equestrian Center, an elitist facility housing more than ninety of the region's finest show prospects. Bite the Bit doesn't focus on just any one sport, but rather a wide variety; sports as common as barrel racing to the challenging sport of vaulting are all practiced here. Developed in the 1960s by Jonah Hart and his wife, Emelia, fifty years of unadulterated blood, sweat, tears and pure luck had quite possibly constructed one of the finest equestrian facilities in the Western Hemisphere. Recognized by just about every breed and discipline out there, BtB is proven to be any avid horseman's dream. Luckily for you, you're invited; are you ready to saddle up?
